Since Austria's accession to the European Union, the framework
conditions for local development and the implementation of project
ideas have changed significantly: part of the provinces' and the
federal government's decision-making powers, including regulatory
provisions and the granting of financial support, has been transferred
to Brussels. The responsibility for the concrete implementation
of development projects is being shifted increasingly to the local and regional
authorities. These new challenges mean additional tasks to be tackled by the
local authorities. Many regions have yet to find “a common platform” for the
pursuit of joint objectives, and the conception and implementation of projects.
We assist local authorities, local authority associations and
regions in addressing this demanding task. |
